The attention of our team at Arab GT attracted digital images imagining what an all-new Kia EV3 might look like, coming in the near future, God willing.
The Korean company Kia plans to offer a complete lineup of electric cars covering a wide range of categories sold in the markets, especially crossovers and SUVs of all sizes.
The Korean automaker previously pledged to provide 15 electric models within its global range by the end of 2027, including 9 cars bearing EV1 to EV9 badges, according to recent trademark applications submitted around the world.
Kia has unveiled three of the nine EV-badged models so far; EV6, EV9, and most recently EV5.
Which means that there are new, fully electric Kia cars coming that will bear the following names:
Kia EV1
Kia EV2
Kia EV3
Kia EV4
Kia EV7
Kia EV8
A group of spy shots from late August also showed a small SUV smaller than the 2024 EV5 from Kia. It is expected to be an EV3, which prompted one of the designers on the motor1 website team to imagine what one of Kia’s newest upcoming cars might look like.
The artist imagined Kia's electric compact crossover based on spy shots, which provide evidence that the EV3 features the same design language as the large three-row EV9 and the EV5 compact SUV. The result is quite striking and easy on the eye, as the car looks like a scaled-down version of EV9.
The boxy body features muscular body surfaces with angular, short overhangs. Design highlights include T-shaped headlights, a sporty front bumper with gloss black accents, and a floating roof that rests on black-painted A- and C-pillars.
The EV3 car, whose shape was imagined by its number, is based on a stunning set of metal wheels that feature a flat-faced design that includes three polished metal ribs. The appearance of the wheels is also inspired by the Kia EV9 and EV5 models, although the rims of the larger models feature four spokes.
The Kia EV3 will be based on either the current E-GMP platform or the next-generation eM platform expected to be launched in 2025 to support fully electric cars in addition to supporting the third level of autonomous driving with over-the-air software update features.
