Pictures of the Nissan Hyper Tourer, Nissan's newest test car, were officially published online before participating in the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, which begins next week, God willing.
The star of this news takes the form of a very futuristic electric pickup truck with fully autonomous driving capabilities, and it bears a design that is very similar to the Hyper Adventure concept and the Hyper Urban SUV concept that were presented by Nissan during the past two weeks. The Nissan Hyper Tourer that we are introducing to you today has an exterior design. Sharp, completely different from any current Nissan production models. The front has a particularly imposing appearance with sharp lines and elegantly connects to the back with a white center line that can be used as an LED light strip.
From the side, the latest Nissan test cars are equally exciting with their complex rim design and elegant door covers. There is also a lot of glass in the upper half of the test car, allowing large amounts of light to enter the cabin.
Speaking of the cabin, Nissan says that using the fully autonomous driving system means that the front seats can rotate 360 degrees, so the rear seats can face. Additionally, those sitting in the second row can place a wearable display that allows them to view and operate both navigation and audio controls on the main infotainment screen up front. The concept also has an advanced AI system that can monitor the brain waves, heart rate, breathing and sweating of passengers and adjust music and lighting accordingly.
Nissan says, “its concept car is directed toward individuals who appreciate the finer things in life and enjoy the company of friends and colleagues, whether on a road trip or a work outing.” The spacious interior is achieved thanks to compact powertrain components that include solid-state batteries and the e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system. The concept car also has a “Vehicle to Everything” (V2X) function, meaning the battery can be used to power a home, shop or office reversibly to harness the batteries’ power.
